I got weighed at my doctor’s office and I somehow lost nine pounds?! I’m at 201lb now! Sooo close to getting under 200! Ahhhhhhh

Only problem is my A1C was 11.7 😅 After dad passed, I went through an I-Don’t-Care phase and ate my feelings. Most of it was sugary sodas, so I guess I drank my feelings instead. I forced myself to (mostly) quit and donated the soda that remained to the commons building in my apartment complex. It was quite a bit, too. Anyone can grab a soda from there if they want. I did keep some Dirty Mountain Dews though, because. I’m also not giving up my daily Pipeline Punch, they’ll have to pry the can from my cold, dead claws. It helps me unwind. Oddly enough, caffiene has no effect on my energy levels, aside from giving me a splitting headache if I don’t have any for a few days. I drink it because I love the taste and I crave carbonation so bad.

The pain clinic had to delay the pain blocking spine shots until my A1C goes below 8. It’s not a terribly big deal because the Gernovex (Or however it’s spelled) taken with two Aleve tablets make it tolerable enough.

I’ve mostly been working more on cleaning second hand dolls and doll clothes I bought on ebay and Mercari. I’ve found some great stuff from the 70s-90s. I desperately need to make a post of substance on the Nostalgic Hobbyist which is my Hobby Blog, not just dolls. I don’t know if I mentioned the name change or getting a domain. I made a second blog focusing on my obsession with everything Horror, as well as physical media collections, particularly VHS tapes. It’s called Dude, That Tape is Killer! I havent posted anything yet but yeah. There it is. I’m having enough problems with deciding what to post first on the Hobby blog. I’ve done a bit of silly, amature doll photography but I don’t onow how to feel about it, considering the crappiness of my backdrop and that I had to use a fucking box of Triscuits as a seat for some dolls. Xian Xian ladies are too tall for a regular Barbie stand.

I did order what I think is a good backdrop from temu. It comes with different background images. I’m feeling impatient for it 😬

And now I have to find a proper seat for the Ken/male dolls and the super tall  Xian Xian girls. I found a stand for them so I’ll get a couple. Now I have to find some that fit Ken…

I’m hoping to ditch the Triscuit box soon.

Anyhoo.

Oh, we finally talked Cricut into a full refund! They really tried not to, but me and mom told them this was their fault for not securing the contents of the box, and not putting any real padding in there, just two pieces of balled up brown paper. No packing peanuts, styrofoam, nothing. AND it very obviously had a hell of a ride to it’s destination, but the reason for any actual damage to the machine is their negligence, not the post. The return window was five fucking days, which is not nearly long enough. I had also been chatting with customer service. The first thing I’d done was contact them via form with photos. They directed me somewhere else, customer care or whatever. Nothing got resolved. Then I chatted with customer service, which they switched over to enail for some reason. They asked me to do some stuff that was too difficult, and I told them that. My ticket was closed a couple days later because I had no clue what to say anymore. So I had been communicating with them for a while. Finally me & mom called them today and pushed hard enough that they agreed to a return & refund. They said I was responsible for the return shipping though ☹️ Those are two big boxes, and they arent light weight. Not super heavy, but enough to sweat a little about shipping costs. Wish there was a less expensive way that isn’t hella slow.
