I saw the saddest thing last night…under the cut.

I saw a video of a woman last night. I have never seen someone so consumed by hate. She was going on a rant about those girls at a church camp in Texas that got swept away by that awful, unexpected flood. The missing kids are almost all certainly deceased, and this woman was absolutely filled with hatred for these girls because….they were white. She tried to say that the camp was “whites only” and no one else was allowed in, which is a disgusting lie. Their camp was open to members of that particular church, and anyone is welcome to join said church, regardless of race. People tend to segregate themselves in the churches they attend, it’s just usually what people do, I suppose it’s more comfortable for them? Going against that stereotype, our Catholic Church here is generally a mix of whites and Hispanics 🤷‍♀️ sooo…She was ranting on about these dead girls and tried to say she hopes they’re found safe, but showed her true feelings in the comments when someone said she was going to face consequences for the horrible shit that came out of her mouth, and she retorted something like “maybe it’s Gods will that those little cunts got washed away” and my jaw was on the fucking floor.

People are sick and this is a sick, sad world. I have heard people say horrible things similar to this after natural disasters occur, I witnessed it in Asheville after Helene hit last year and killed a lot of people and destroyed the homes and lives of many more. It was a nightmare for them and still is, not even an iota close to being rebuilt and people are still living in FEMA trailers a year later. It’s a terrible mess up there. Some people were saying things like they deserved it because they were stupid hillbillies and probably vote republican. FEMA workers were also instructed not to help people who had obvious republican affiliations, like signs in their yards or whatever. So kind, so tolerant, as is expected these days. They said it about us when a ton of tornadoes hit in the early 2010s and said pretty much the same as what they said about Asheville. Stupid hillbillies deserved to die.

These people have a special kind of darkness in their souls. I shouldn’t be surprised anymore when I see this kind of hatred, but I still am somehow. I guess this mindset is so totally alien and foreign to me that there is no way I can possibly relate or try to see where they’re coming from. I’ll never understand what goes on in the diseased, twisted minds of people like this.

Oh, this woman was a member of the city council wherever she lives and her term apparently ended earlier this year. The mayor of that city fucking tore into this soulless person and said she would never work in the city government again. I’m thankful she faced some retribution, at least. We have freedom of speech in the US, but not freedom from the consequences of the things we say. Nobody’s going to get thrown in jail for being a hateful cow, but your boss is free to fire your ass because you’re a disgusting human and no one wants to be associated with you 😬 I fully expect to hear more of this shit, because…people.

So kind. So tolerant. So caring. So pleasant to be around. Not at all bat guano delulu coo coo bonkers. 🥴

Ughhh I’m so done with thinking about these nutters, glad I got it off my chest and mind now. I’m gonna make some macaroni, I need comfort food after dwelling on this toxic crap for long enough to write an entry about it. The cheese sustains my sanity. 😊
