Rabbit in the Moon

I have an eye doctor appointment at a different place today. I found one that takes my shitty insurance so I have to go there. It’ll be a long appointment too since it’s my first visit there and they have to do all of this checking my eyes and stuff. I’m really, really hoping to get my second cataract surgery scheduled soon, if not tomorrow. They know that’s why I’m coming there. I’m so tired of getting headaches from my conflicting vision and walking around like an idiot with one lense popped out of my already ugly glasses. I can’t get new glasses or have the lenses replaced on my old Silhouette’s until I’ve had both surgeries. The vision in my right eye seems to have deteriorated just a bit since the first surgery. It’s still mostly sharp but there’s a weird double blur thing going on. Probably diabetes. /sigh. I can still see without that lense though. I wish I could just wear contacts after I get this over with, but ever since I took two rounds of Accutane for my cystic acne when I was 16, my eyes can’t tolerate them. I might try again because it’s been almost two decades since I last tried contacts….who knows. I’ve been wearing glasses since middle school, I’m just tired of them. My vision won’t be that bad after I get the second surgery…maybe I can forego glasses altogether. Idk 🤷‍♀️ Maybe a lot of people get around without perfect vision.
