I actually sat down and watched a movie tonight. Two actually. I have been in this same stupid routine for the past almost five years. Wake up, go out, come home, sleep for hours, eat something small, take shower, go to bed and watch videos on my phone, sleep fitfully. Absolutely stuck in that routine and could not break out of it. I lost motivation to do much of anything, really. The past week or so has been different. I came home one afternoon and played games. I was shocked I did that instead of sleeping. I did that again the next day and worked on a diy jewelry project until my neck hurt so bad I had to stop. Today, I did sleep when I came home, but to my credit, I was literally falling over tired for whatever reason. I woke up and decided out of the blue that I wanted to watch a movie.
I picked one I hadn’t seen in well over 15 years and went to the game room, got comfy and popped it in the blu-ray player. The movie was ‘Pulse’, which was an American remake of a Japanese (I think?) movie. I remember it scaring me so bad I had a panic attack back then, but this time I was able to enjoy it. I’m not sure why people tend to think of it as a bad movie. Not every Western remake of Asian horror movies is bad! People (critics lol) say ‘The Grudge’ is terrible but I love that movie. And that’s why I ignore critics’ opinions.
Then I decided to watch another one, ‘Smile’, which is one of the best newer horror movies I’ve seen. It was good to watch it a second time. It’s getting a sequel later this year around spooky season and I’m excited for it.
I’m proud of myself for finally breaking out of this awful years-long rut.
Now I’m tucked in bed and I’m gonna watch my usual videos on YouTube 😊 Good night, internet!
