A month or so ago, my mom got her groceries before she came over and put them in my fridge. We went out, and I came back to the most disgusting smell. It was all over my house. My house smelled like meat. GROSS meat. I asked wtf it was and she said it must be the meat she bought. In any case I hustled that meat out of my house and asked that she never bring it in here again. The smell permeates EVERYTHING. And it’s so hard to get rid of. I sprayed and sprayed air freshener and B&BW room scent and finally I couldn’t smell it anymore. It was in the kitchen, the hallway and the living room, everywhere the door wasn’t shut.

She brought it back in here today! I had a terrible time getting rid of it again. Whatever it is, I don’t know how they eat it if it smells that way.

Yes, this is all I have to write about. I’m bored. XD

Oh I got dad’s Christmas present just now. It’s a pair of “lounge pants” to lie around in. They’re a light tie-dye with a pattern of the Pink Floyd “Dark Side of the Moon” prism over that. We both love Floyd so I thought it was a fitting gift. I already got mom’s and gave it to her so she’d have a chance to actually wear it this year. It’s not a warm weather shirt. It’s a burnt orange color which looks really nice on her. We both look better in earthen colors than anything else.

Oscar is filthy and needs a bath so badly. I’ve been told not to bathe cats, that they are “self cleaning”…well, he’s doing a crap job of cleaning himself. He is greasy (mostly down his back) and little bits of his hair are matting. This is a very recent thing. I just haven’t had a chance to bathe him yet. I think even cats need a bath every couple of years. My peer support told me she’d help me do it. My previous cat had the same issue with his back. I had him professionally bathed and sheared. Oscar can’t handle being groomed anymore, he just freaks out and overheats. One groomer actually had to stop in the middle of shearing him because she was scared he’d have a heart attack, which is a real concern because he has a heart murmur, and we always warn groomers about it. I warn everyone about it, so they won’t try to be an ass and scare him or whatever. He’s my baby. ;_;
